About Upperline Plus
Care That Sees You and Stays with You
Upperline Plus exists because care shouldn’t stop when a visit ends.

Why Upperline Plus Exists
A lot can happen between doctor visits. Upperline Plus exists to close that gap — giving you a care team that stays connected, follows up, and makes sure you’re known, connected, and ahead of what’s next.
Upperline Plus allows patients to keep the doctors and services they know, while gaining 24/7 access to a dedicated care team that provides comprehensive care in the clinic and at home. We believe comprehensive care is about more than treating conditions. It’s about making sure patients are known, connected, and ahead of what’s next.

Executive Leadership

David Thorpe
Chief Executive Officer
David Thorpe
Chief Executive Officer
David Thorpe is the Chief Executive Officer and founder of Upperline Health. Since starting the company in 2017 with one Alabama-based clinic and a mission to break down the silos of specialty healthcare, David has led Upperline’s rapid expansion from podiatry to primary care, endocrinology, affiliate practices, and more. David is deeply motivated by the opportunity to solve healthcare’s most complex challenges and enjoys exploring creative delivery models that improve outcomes while lowering cost. During the first days of working at the front desk of Upperline’s clinics, David realized that the relationship between a doctor and patient holds untapped potential for specialists if we can remove old barriers and encourage all providers and staff to care for the whole patient. Before Upperline, David served as an early employee at Aspire Health and in the administration of Governor Bill Haslam. David holds a degree in History from Princeton University and resides in Nashville, Tennessee, with his wife Christen and their four children.

Matthew is a graduate of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Outside of work, he and his wife are kept busy by their three highly energetic children, all under the age of ten.rnrnGrowing up in a multi-generational family of physicians, Matt learned early how fee-for-service incentives can result in fragmented care where utilization is rewarded instead of outcomes — ultimately to the detriment of patients and at a high cost to society. This perspective drives Matt’s belief that value-based care is essential to improving quality, aligning incentives and ensuring the long-term viability of our healthcare system.
